HDE Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Electrical Technician to join our Brisbane Service team.

This position is suited to a well-rounded commercial electrician who brings strong technical knowledge, takes pride in delivering quality work and wants to contribute to the continued development of our technicians.

You will work across a diverse range of commercial environments, including premium and A-grade buildings, office fit-outs and sites managed by Tier 1 clients. The role combines hands-on technical work, complex fault-finding and minor works.

The role

As a senior member of our Service team, you will be responsible for:

- Delivering commercial electrical maintenance, upgrades and minor works
- Diagnosing complex electrical and control system faults
- Completing planned preventative maintenance across premium commercial properties
- Installing, testing and commissioning commercial electrical systems
- Delivering office fit-outs, refurbishments and tenancy upgrades
- Communicating professionally with facility managers and Tier 1 clients
- Sharing your technical knowledge and supporting the continued development of our technicians
- Providing guidance on complex work and helping maintain consistent technical standards
- Completing all work in accordance with Australian Standards, client requirements and HDE’s quality and safety systems

This is a senior, hands-on position that allows you to take on greater technical and leadership responsibility without moving away from the tools or into a traditional people-management role.

About you

We are looking for someone who has built substantial experience across commercial electrical environments and is confident working independently while leading by example.

You will have

- An unrestricted Queensland electrical licence
- Extensive experience as a commercial electrician or electrical service technician




- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience delivering commercial office fit-outs and refurbishment works
- Experience working on premium commercial properties or with Tier 1 clients
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- A professional approach to client communication and site presentation
- A willingness to share your knowledge and contribute to the development of the wider team
- A current driver’s licence, White Card and CPR/LVR accreditation
- DALI, C-Bus, Zencontrol or other commercial lighting control systems
- Commercial electrical controls and building automation interfaces

- Generator testing and maintenance
- Emergency and essential power systems
- Air circuit breaker testing and maintenance
