Role Description The Senior Design Engineer is a full-time, in office role located in Brisbane, QLD. This position is responsible for leading building design projects, including developing design concepts, preparing detailed engineering calculations, and reviewing technical drawings and specifications. The role includes coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical guidance to junior engineers, and ensuring that designs meet regulatory, safety, and client requirements.

The Senior Design

Engineer will participate in design reviews, support project planning, and assist in resolving technical issues during construction and operation phases. The role also involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement of design processes, and maintaining documentation and project records.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, including concept development, detailed design, and technical review for building, civil, or construction projects.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise relevant to structural and systems design, including analysis, material selection, and performance optimization.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, modifying, and reviewing 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge suitable for coordinating with electrical systems design, integration, and compliance where required.
- Candidates should possess Product Design capabilities, including translating requirements into practical solutions and considering usability, manufacturability, and lifecycle performance.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related discipline) and eligibility for professional accreditation or registration.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering design projects, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Experience with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to building, civil, and construction projects.
