This role is for the therapist who has already put in the years in dysphagia and is ready to stop just seeing clients and start running the service.

Boom Kids Clinic is looking for a senior Speech Pathologist to lead our feeding and dysphagia service. You'll still carry a caseload, working with children who have complex medical and physical disabilities, using current evidence based practice inside our multidisciplinary team of OTs, Physiotherapists and Dietitians.

But the real shift in this role is ownership: how the feeding service is structured, the pathways we use, and the strategy behind where it goes next, including what it looks like as we take it interstate.

What you'll be doing

- Managing a caseload of children with paediatric dysphagia, cerebral palsy, and complex medical needs, including tube fed and non-oral feeders
- Leading the strategic direction of our feeding service: how it runs, what it offers, and where it grows
- Playing a lead role in optimising our feeding service in NSW and establishing the service in other states, starting with Victoria
- Working inside a genuine multidisciplinary team (Speech, OT, Physio, Dietetics), not in isolation
- Mentoring and upskilling the wider Speech Pathology team in feeding and dysphagia practice

What you'll bring

- Experience specifically in paediatric dysphagia and complex feeding, not general paediatric speech pathology
- Confidence managing high acuity feeding presentations without needing to be shown the way
- Genuine interest in the operational and strategic side of running a service, not just the clinical work
- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership
