About the role

InStyle Furniture is looking for an experienced, motivated and customer-focused Senior Sales Consultant to join our McGraths Hill furniture showroom. This is more than just a retail sales position. For the right person, there is genuine growth potential to progress into a Store Management role, taking greater responsibility for the showroom, sales performance and store team.

As your experience within our business grows, you will have the opportunity to manage the showroom and lead the store team, including taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store while the owners are away on business trips. Additional commission structures will apply when taking on responsibility for running and managing the store, providing the opportunity to be rewarded for strong sales and store performance.

Key responsibilities

- Providing friendly, professional and confident customer service
- Actively selling furniture and working towards sales targets
- Building rapport and helping customers select the right furniture for their home
- Following up sales leads, quotes and customer enquiries
- Answering incoming telephone calls




- Responding to online and email enquiries
- Processing sales, orders and customer information
- Completing general administration and showroom duties
- Managing multiple customers and priorities in a busy retail environment
- Maintaining a professional and beautifully presented showroom

About you

- Previous retail sales experience – essential
- A proven ability to sell and work towards targets
- Excellent communication skills and a qualified, well-spoken manner
- A warm, confident and engaging personality
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Good computer and administration skills
- Confidence handling in-store, telephone and online enquiries
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- Leadership potential and a willingness to take responsibility
