About the role:

Reporting to the Country Managing Director, this hands-on leadership role will see you partner closely with project, operations and site teams to strengthen a proactive, practical and collaborative safety culture across GEA Australia. You will provide trusted HSE guidance to managers and frontline teams, support consistent application of GEA’s safety systems and standards, and help embed safe ways of working across diverse operational environments.

What you’ll be doing:

- Provide practical, on-site HSE coaching and operational support to project teams, service teams and business units.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of integrated management systems aligned with GEA global requirements.
- Coordinate site audits and inspections, working with teams to ensure actions are closed out effectively and on time.
- Facilitate risk assessments, hazard identification and practical control implementation at an operational level.
- Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring learnings are captured and corrective actions are implemented.




- Support injury management and return-to-work processes in partnership with managers, employees and relevant providers.
- Deliver engaging HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions across multiple locations.
- Promote and support the effective application of Group and Regional HSE policies, standards and initiatives.

About you:

- Tertiary qualification in OHS or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ health and safety management experience, including experience within manufacturing, service, engineering and / or project environments
- Preferably a member of a recognised professional occupational safety and health body
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of Australian regulations and standards, including occupational health related issues.
- Knowledge of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Experience in chemical or major hazard facility, or high reliability organisations would be advantageous.
- Flexible and willing to travel within Australia.
