North Melbourne | Permanent | Full-time | Office attendance required

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Administrator to join an organisation based in North Melbourne on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure qualified to take a key internal role supporting and improving a Microsoft-based technology environment. The organisation currently uses a third-party IT provider and is looking to strengthen its in-house infrastructure capability.

You will work across a broad range of infrastructure, cloud, identity, collaboration and security technologies.

The role

As Senior Infrastructure Administrator, you will support, administer and improve the organisation’s core infrastructure and Microsoft technology environment.

Your responsibilities will include

- Supporting and administering Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure.
- Managing Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, including identity, user access, permissions and authentication.
- Administering Microsoft 365, Office 365, Exchange and Microsoft Teams.
- Supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and core infrastructure services.
- Assisting with Power Platform administration and governance.
- Supporting enterprise security, including access controls, patching, monitoring, backups and general security practices.
- Investigating and resolving Level 2/3 infrastructure and systems issues.




- Working with external IT providers and vendors where required.
- Assisting with the transition of selected technology knowledge and responsibilities from an outsourced support model into the internal business.
- Maintaining accurate infrastructure documentation, procedures and support records.
- Identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure stability, security and operational efficiency.

About you To be successful, you will bring proven experience in a senior infrastructure, systems administration or systems engineering position. You will ideally have experience with:

- Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration.
- Exchange and Microsoft Teams administration.
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Infrastructure monitoring, patching, backup and disaster recovery.
- Enterprise security and access management.
- Power Platform administration.
- Working with managed service providers or outsourced IT support partners
