Listed global company in the energy space is in expansion mode and looking to hire a quality construction/projects lawyer.

The role

Due to continued expansion and significant development activity across Australia and North America (amongst other jurisdictions) this company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel – Projects & Construction to support its expanding portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects.

This is a core infrastructure role, advising on complex, capital-intensive developments at the intersection of energy, technology and construction.

You will report to the Head of Legal - Construction and work closely with other lawyers across the business and the commercial team in Australia and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and negotiate major construction and infrastructure contracts, including:

- EPC, D&C; and bespoke construction agreements;
- Consultant and supply agreements;
- Equipment procurement and critical infrastructure supply arrangements;
- Manage external counsel in Australia,



Europe and North America; and
- Partner closely with development, engineering, procurement and executive teams.

Ideal Candidate

- 8+ years’ PQE from a leading infrastructure/construction practice in Sydney. Our client is open to those in both private practice and in house.
- Robust experience in major projects, construction and infrastructure development.
- Exposure to energy sector or other capital-intensive projects highly regarded.
- Interested in being embedded in a global infrastructure business at the forefront of AI.
