The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced construction lawyer to join a highly regarded in-house legal team in a newly created growth role.

Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with other more senior legal counsel you will be part of a collaborative and commercially focused legal function supporting a national portfolio of major projects.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of front-end construction and projects work with key responsibilities including:

- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating major construction contracts, including D&C;, GC21, ECI and other project delivery agreements.
- Advising bid and tender teams on contractual risk allocation and commercial strategy.
- Providing guidance on delays, extensions of time, variations, termination rights, security arrangements, retention regimes, scope and pricing issues.
- Supporting contract negotiations with clients, consultants and subcontractors.




- Delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice to project, operational and corporate stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

- Have at least 6 years' post-qualification experience in front-end construction and projects from either a leading law firm or highly regarded construction company.
- Have experience advising on major construction contracts and project delivery models.
- Be commercially minded and capable of providing pragmatic risk-based advice.
