PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The Senior Manager, Asset Management contributes to the organisational goals of Power and Water as a Senior Leader within the Water Services team. The Senior Manager is responsible for the effective asset management of approximately $4.4B in water and wastewater assets across major and minor centres and remote communities of the Northern Territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered
Functional
- Identify and implement asset management objectives and strategies across Water Services that are consistent with Power and Water’s Asset
Management Policy and align with ISO55000
- Within Power and Water’s Asset Management Framework develop and maintain a Strategic Asset Management Plan and class-based Asset
Management Plans incorporating maintenance and replacement plans for water assets
- Optimise the performance of water assets to meet defined levels of service, health, safety and environment taking into account the full
lifecycle costs, benefits and risks
- Develop, prioritise and retain accountability for the overall Water Services capital program for both major and minor projects
- Initiate appropriate investigations and studies to develop robust preliminary and detailed business cases to secure capital and operational
funding under a regulated environment
