To support this growth, we’re looking for a Senior Middleware Developer to join our team.

The Role

Our Perth office is currently seeking a Senior Middleware Developer to join our R&D; team and contribute to achieving its mission and vision. This role will involve work on our cloud API and management applications. This role requires someone with experience in developing applications for the cloud, a dedication to producing high quality code, sound analytical and time management skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team. We’re looking for a Senior developer who can make a difference within the team and lead Middleware development as Swift Tv enters a new and exciting phase.

Key Responsibilities

- Development of the Symfony based API
- Development of the Symfony, Stimulus JS, Vue JS and Bootstrap based management interface
- Development of business logic processes for our CDN nodes in PHP and Go
- Mentoring of team members. Peer code reviews
- Planning feature development.
- Development of integrated testing suites to continually improve Swift offerings
- Adherence to scheduling of product releases




- Compliance with documentation and coding standards.
- Acting as a subject matter expert to support Delivery and front-line support teams
- Thinking outside of the box.

About You

You’re an experienced senior developer. You are comfortable leading feature development, getting stuck into the coding and troubleshooting thorny problems and issues. You have great communication skills and are able to explain advanced concepts to stakeholders outside the technical team.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

- 5+ years software development experience working on web-based applications
- Experience with an automated test framework.
- Experience with RESTful APIs (JSON).
- Comfortable with Continuous Integration build pipelines and test automation.
- Experience with Version Control, git by preference.

Desirable, Not Required
- Experience developing for large scale and high availability applications.
- Experience developing for deployment in AWS.
- Experience developing applications with Go.
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Working within an agile framework (Scrum)
