Responsibilities:
- Access and manage the work priorities/tasks to be completed
- Allocate work allocation within the team
- Lead complex payroll processes
- Provide high level support to the Payroll Coordinator with process improvements
- Provide leadership, training and support to the Payroll team
- Collaboratively work with the HR Generalist team to ensure outstanding maintenance is completed within required timeframes
- Processing Timesheets, including data entry
- Ensure all attendance sheets have been received
- Check and confirm input data, assist where necessary.
- Undertake import of files into Chris21 when required and check for accuracy
- Assist with the reconciliation of the pay run each fortnight to ensure all figures are accurate and balanced and investigate any discrepancies
- Assist with employee master file changes for general employee information
- Undertake updating of employee personal details
- Undertake updating of employee personal deductions/superannuation
- Check and input all new employee information – Onboarding
- Process terminations for exiting employees
- Employee superannuation setup for “Choice of Funds”
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in payroll/accounting or related field with demonstrated experience in a payroll setting or with lesser formal qualifications and substantial experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the CHRIS21 payroll system.
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, managing and allocating work tasks within a Payroll team.
- Demonstrated experience in the payroll production by receiving, checking and calculating employee timesheets, check input data and pre-payroll reports.
- Ability to build strong relationships and carry out customer service enquiries in a timely and efficient manner and ensure external organisations requests are dealt with promptly and courteously.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of a PC, including skills in word processing, spread-sheeting and email applications, and the management of one’s own time to achieve set objectives and completion of tasks in a timely manner.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a high volume and diverse environment.
