The opportunity
The Senior Performance Officer provides regulatory, environmental and corporate performance analysis, including annual corporate planning and performance reporting, to support positive governance, risk management, accountability and improved regulatory performance. The role is responsible for coordinating and delivering key performance reporting products, partnering with business areas to develop meaningful performance measures, methodologies and targets, ensuring alignment with government priorities, legislative requirements and government frameworks.
Through the provision of expert advice and analysis the role supports performance monitoring planning and reporting activities, supporting stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve strategic objectives
About you
You will serve as a passionate advocate for the EPA, striving to achieve tangible outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Strong project and program leadership skills with the ability to deliver complex, high profile initiatives that support improved environmental regulatory outcomes.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving capability, including the ability to identify emerging issues, assess risks, interpret data and provide sound advice.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, briefings, submissions and advice for senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with experience preparing reports, briefings,
submissions and advice for senior stakeholders.
- Sound judgement, diplomacy and resilience particularly when dealing with sensitive, confidential or controversial issues in a regulatory environment.
