Senior Planner

Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join a high-performing Project Services team supporting major projects and capital programs in Perth.

Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD - 9 hours per day

Start date: ASAP

Duration: approx. 6 months - with potential to extend

Pay Rate: Starting from $95.00 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role:

As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining master and detailed project schedules, providing high-quality planning and project controls support, and identifying emerging trends and risks that may impact project delivery.

You will work closely with project, engineering, commercial and corporate stakeholders, as well as contractors, consultants and suppliers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop and maintain master and detailed project schedules
- Cost and resource load project schedules
- Undertake critical path, milestone and schedule analysis
- Conduct "what-if" scenarios to support project decision-making
- Develop schedule basis documentation
- Maintain schedule integrity and ensure sound scheduling logic
- Perform schedule health checks and uphold planning standards
- Implement Earned Value Management and monitor CPI/SPI performance
- Review and integrate contractor schedules into the overall master program
- Analyse project progress, productivity and emerging trends
- Prepare accurate weekly and month-end planning reports




- Participate in schedule workshops, risk reviews and change management
- Support capital planning activities
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project scopes are properly planned and supported

Required Experience:

- 10+ years' experience as a Project Planner
- Strong client-side project experience, ideally covering the full project lifecycle from concept through execution
- Advanced Primavera P6 skills
- Solid MS Office capability
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, controls and reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
