Role Overview

At Acorn, our Senior Product Manager plays a vital role in driving product impact and supporting business growth. You'll own a defined problem space end-to-end - not just managing a backlog, but elevating the quality of thinking behind it, from insight to shipped outcome. As an experienced individual contributor (IC3), you'll lead discovery and delivery of high-impact features, make the trade-offs strategy demands, and partner cross-functionally to turn strategy into outcomes, while helping lift the broader team's ways of working.

You'll work closely with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional peers to deeply understand user problems, challenge assumptions, and ship solutions that improve real-world performance. Success in this role means real ownership: setting direction inside your problem space with curiosity, critical thinking and executional excellence, and bringing others along with you.

Lead discovery to generate credible insights that reduce risk and guide confident product decisions. You independently size impact and ensure insights directly inform delivery decisions.

Execution & Delivery:

Deliver product initiatives predictably by managing scope, dependencies, and risk to achieve intended outcomes. Level — Proficient: At the proficient stage, you run a predictable delivery cadence. You independently mitigate risks,



coordinate contributors, and validate outcomes post-ship.

User Experience & Quality:

Ensure products deliver high-quality, accessible, and coherent user experiences that drive adoption and trust. Level — Proficient: At the proficient stage, you set quality bars and drive accessibility and design-system alignment. You independently review builds for polish and consistency.

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence:

Enable effective execution by building alignment and influencing decisions through clear, evidence-based communication. Level — Proficient: At the proficient stage, you orchestrate cross-team alignment and launches. You independently equip GTM and CX with crisp narratives that enable execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own & Deliver: Lead end-to-end discovery and delivery of high-impact features within your problem space, from insight to measurable outcome
- Champion the Experience: Advocate for clarity, consistency and usability, and review implementation details closely enough to protect the polish that builds user trust
- Define Success: Set success metrics and leading indicators for your initiatives, and track performance against business goals
- De-risk Through Evidence: Partner with Product Design to run structured discovery — customer research, feedback signal, lean tests and experiments — to validate assumptions and de-risk decisions before build
- Influence the Roadmap: Shape the wider roadmap through insights and recommendations, partnering closely with Design, Engineering and GTM
- Make the Trade-offs: Make smart calls with incomplete information, balancing short-term delivery against long-term vision, and own the call when it's genuinely ambiguous
- Raise the Bar: Recommend improvements to product practices, tools and ways of working based on your domain expertise

Required Experience:

- Proven experience as a Product Manager, with demonstrated depth across discovery and delivery for complex, high-impact features
- Strong data-informed decision-making skills, comfortable defining metrics and translating quantitative and qualitative insights into product decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience representing product in cross-functional and senior discussions
- Experience working in SaaS or B2B software environments

- Using AI to accelerate customer and market discovery, synthesise research findings, and surface patterns across feedback at scale

user stories, and roadmap narratives, freeing up more time for strategic thinking
- Using AI to analyse product usage data and market signals, sharpening prioritisation and strategy decisions

Location: We are open to individuals based in Sydney or Canberra, Australia. We are an office-first company, meaning we work from our local offices the majority (if not all) of the time. We want to create cool stuff with great people, and we know from experience that is best done through daily moments like the coffee run, walk to grab lunch, or quick huddles.

Being able to capitalise on this is key to our ongoing success and a large part of the reason we can work at the pace we do. Please note candidates will need to be in commuting distance to our offices based in Sydney or Canberra CBD.
