About the team The Strategic Infrastructure Branch is part of the Infrastructure Gold Coast Department. Our team is responsible for delivering the City’s strategic infrastructure program, focusing on ‘City Shaping’ projects that are of significant strategic importance and priority to our community. Key projects include Greenheart, Gold Coast Light Rail, the Gold Coast Civic and Music Hall, the Nature-Based Tourism Program, and many others. About the role The City is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Strategic Infrastructure Branch. The position will provide an exciting opportunity for you to bring your expertise in planning, design, and managing key initiatives while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Your insights will be instrumental in promoting best practices in design, environmental stewardship, and sustainability, enabling our team to achieve meaningful project outcomes.

You will collaborate with and lead multidisciplinary design consultants to create innovative and imaginative design solutions and focus on developing engaging landscapes and parklands that offer enriching experiences for our community and visitors to our City.

We’re looking for people who have:

- Bachelor Degree of Architecture / Landscape Architecture / Project Management and / or relevant equivalent knowledge and experience
- C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)
- General Construction Induction Card (White) (Mandatory)




- Extensive demonstrated experience managing and delivering large-scale engineering and construction projects
- Relevant technical background with a proven track record delivering large-scale community infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience in civil, structural and hydraulic engineering (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver multifaceted projects
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills ensuring consistency and clarity of advice
- Highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to provide sound advice and options and recommendations
- Ability to function autonomously, as well as part of a high performing team
- Proven time management, project management and organisational skills
- Sound Microsoft Office suite skills
