About the Role
Biggin & Scott North is seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Property Manager to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a confident real estate professional with at least two years of property management experience who is committed to delivering excellent service to landlords and renters. You will be responsible for managing a residential portfolio, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring all properties are managed efficiently and in accordance with Victorian legislation.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to confidently manage all aspects of a residential property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a residential property portfolio efficiently and professionally
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and renters
- Coordinate new tenancies, lease renewals, rent reviews and vacating processes
- Monitor rental arrears and take appropriate follow-up action
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with landlords, renters and contractors
- Conduct or oversee routine inspections, entry condition reports and final inspections
- Ensure property compliance requirements and records remain current
- Respond to landlord and renter enquiries promptly and professionally
- Handle complaints, disputes and complex property management matters
- Prepare notices, applications and supporting documentation when required
- Attend VCAT hearings where necessary
- Provide landlords with regular updates regarding their properties and tenancies
- Ensure all property management activities comply with Victorian legislation and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate records and complete all tasks within required timeframes
- Work collaboratively with the leasing, administration and sales teams
- Assist with onboarding new managements and properties when required
About You
- A minimum of two years’ experience in property management
- Experience managing a residential property portfolio
- A strong understanding of the Victorian residential rental market and relevant legislation
- Sound knowledge of arrears management, inspections, maintenance, compliance and VCAT processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
- Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A professional, self-motivated and accountable approach
- Robust attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping skills
- Confidence using property management software and CRM systems
- A current Victorian Agent’s Representative Certificate or relevant real estate qualification
- A current Victorian driver licence and reliable vehicle
