Join a large Australian enterprise with a mature cyber security function supporting a diverse portfolio of technology and business initiatives. You'll be part of a collaborative security consulting team that partners closely with project teams, architects and business stakeholders to help deliver secure outcomes across a complex environment.This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension. Brisbane is the preferred location, however candidates based in Melbourne or Sydney will also be considered.
Your recent role
As a Security Advisor, you will provide cyber security guidance and assurance across multiple projects and technology domains. Working closely with delivery teams and key stakeholders, you'll help identify security risks, review solution designs, and ensure appropriate controls are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:
- Providing cyber security advice to project and delivery teams
- Conducting security design and architecture reviews
- Supporting threat modelling and security risk assessments
- Reviewing security controls and identifying remediation opportunities
- Advising on cloud and enterprise technology security requirements
- Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to achieve security outcomes
- Contributing to security governance, assurance and consulting activities
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role,
you will bring a combination of strong cyber security knowledge and the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.Ideally, you will have:
- Experience as a Security Advisor, Security Consultant, Security Architect or similar role
- Security architecture review and design assurance experience
- Strong understanding of cyber security controls, risk management and governance principles
- Exposure to threat modelling and security assessment activities
- Experience working within large enterprise environments
- Cloud security knowledge across modern technology platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar are highly regarded
- Valid Australian work rights are required
