On the whole, we manage landscapes specialising in local native flora from our seven depots at North Melbourne, Werribee, Macedon, Angelsea, Mornington, Hastings and Whittlesea.
We have extensive bushland management knowledge, a sound and growing customer base (government, semi-government and private organisations) together with a growing team of over 80 people and a record of delivering quality service.

This role is for someone ready to take the next step in their Conservation & Ecosystem Management Career! If this is you, we will support you to become a leader in the industry through significant training and development opportunities.
The vacancy is for a full time Crew Leader with industry experience. The successful applicants will be expected to work with the Naturelinks Project Managers to plan and implement fuel hazard reduction projects across the Mornington Peninsula Region.
Duties will include and are not limited to:
- Leading crews on site.
- Undertaking manual removal of vegetation for fuel hazard reduction works.
- Managing a small team of direct reports.
- Client liaison and stakeholder engagement.
- Assistance to Project Manager to schedule resources and staff.
- Monitoring of budgets, and
- Reporting to clients and management.
You will be expected to instil a sense of excellence in your crew and achieve an exceptional work standard both in the field whilst ensuring a safe work environment.
You will need the following qualifications, experience and skills as a minimum:
- Excellent weed and indigenous plant ID skills in Victorian floral communities.
- Commitment to excellence and best practice land management with:
1. Proven knowledge of weed control techniques and herbicides, and
2. Proven knowledge of various revegetation techniques.
Proven ability to prioritise multiple projects and tasks with the demands of competing deadlines. Minimum 1 year in Conservation & Ecosystem Management (CEM) industry, preferably in a senior role. Well-developed communication skills. Proven autonomy and team management skills. Awareness of OHS principles and practices. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. Moderate to high level of physical fitness. Thorough understanding of the Overall Fuel Hazard Reduction guide. Chainsaw and Commercial wood chipping experience highly regarded
Training and Licences:
- Min Cert III CEM qualification (or equivalent in industry experience).
- Essential - Current Victorian Manual Medium Rigid Licence.
- Essential - ChemCert or equivalent.
- Essential - Senior First Aid (Level 2).
- Essential - Chainsaw - Operate and Maintain Chainsaws.
- Essential - Construction Induction Card.
- Desirable - Chainsaw L2 - Fall Trees Manually
- Desirable - Traffic Management qualification: TMI1 (RIISS00060) and TC1(RIISS00058)
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
