Are you a senior insights consultant who loves solving complex business problems, shaping strategy and building trusted client relationships?
We’re partnering with a leading independent insights and strategy consultancy to find a Senior Associate Director for their Sydney team.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can combine strong quantitative research expertise with commercial thinking, client influence and people leadership. You’ll work across major consumer brands, helping clients make confident decisions across brand, innovation, customer experience, products and growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading complex, bespoke research and consulting engagements from brief through to recommendation
- Tackling challenging commercial questions through smart research design
- Drawing on a broad quantitative toolkit including U&As;, segmentation, choice modelling, innovation, concept and pack testing and tracking
- Turning sophisticated data into clear strategic direction
- Advising senior stakeholders and presenting with impact
- Building and growing long-term client relationships
- Developing proposals, pitches and new business opportunities
- Managing pipeline, resourcing and commercial performance
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team
- Championing smarter ways of working, including the effective use of AI across research and consulting
You’ll bring:
- Around 10+ years’ experience in market research, insights or strategic consulting
- A strong agency or consultancy background
- Deep quantitative research expertise and strong methodological judgement
- Confidence working with complex data and extracting the story that matters
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior clients
- A track record of growing accounts and contributing to new business
- Strong commercial awareness
- Proven people leadership and coaching capability
- Curiosity, adaptability and a genuine appetite for new technology and AI
Qualitative experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.
