The Opportunity:

Intermediate Accountant: $80,000 – $95,000 + Super depending on experience.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Intermediate Business Services Accountant to join the Business Services team.
This role is ideally suited to an accountant who wants to build a long-term career in public practice and develop into a trusted business adviser, rather than remaining focused solely on compliance and processing.

You will receive genuine client exposure and work closely with Senior Accountants and Managers who take the time to teach, mentor and explain the “why” behind the work.

The role will provide variety across compliance and advisory support, with exposure to a strong portfolio of growing SMEs and high-performing salaried employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare workpapers, reconciliations and journals.
- Assist with BAS and business services compliance work.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
- Liaise directly with clients and build strong professional relationships.
- Support Senior Accountants and Managers with advisory and business services matters.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation and AI.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-first environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:





- 2–5 years’ experience in Australian Public Practice, ideally within Business Services.
- A degree in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA studies underway.
- Permanent working rights in Australia.
- Solid foundations across workpapers, reconciliations, journals and BAS.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- An interest in technology, automation and AI and how they can improve the quality of accounting services.
