We are looking for a Recruitment Specialist with strong Australian construction recruitment experience to support an established recruitment business servicing the construction market.

About the Role

This is a hands-on recruitment position focused on sourcing and engaging construction professionals across Australia, with the flexibility to work across commercial or residential construction.

You’ll partner closely with Australian recruitment consultants to identify, qualify, and manage candidates for a range of construction vacancies.

The focus is on finding people with genuine Australian construction experience. Insurance-specific recruitment experience is not essential and can be developed over time.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing

- Source construction professionals across the Australian market.
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK, job boards, databases, and Boolean searches.
- Conduct market mapping and targeted talent searches.
- Identify and engage passive candidates.
- Build and maintain strong construction talent pipelines.
- Research companies, projects, and relevant construction professionals.

Candidate Management

- Conduct initial screening and qualification calls.
- Assess candidates against role requirements and construction experience.
- Understand candidates’ project, site, commercial, or residential backgrounds.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS/CRM.
- Coordinate interviews and provide timely candidate communication.
- Build strong, long-term candidate relationships.

Recruitment Delivery

- Work closely with Australian recruitment consultants on active vacancies.
- Provide qualified candidate shortlists and profiles.
- Support multiple construction vacancies simultaneously.
- Provide market feedback and candidate insights.




- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill roles.

Business Development Support

- Identify potential client opportunities through candidate conversations.
- Research construction businesses and hiring activity.
- Identify companies with current or potential recruitment requirements.
- Support candidate-led business development initiatives.
- Contribute to outbound campaigns and market development.

What We're Looking For

- Agency recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
- Strong understanding of the Australian construction industry.
- Experience recruiting construction professionals across commercial and/or residential projects.
- Proven candidate sourcing and engagement skills.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK, Boolean search, or similar tools.
- Strong candidate screening and qualification capability.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines.
- Proactive approach to sourcing and recruitment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Highly Preferred

- Australian construction recruitment experience.
- Experience recruiting Estimators, Supervisors, Site Managers, or Project Managers.
- Experience across commercial and residential construction.
- Insurance recruitment experience.
- Business development or client-facing recruitment experience.
- Experience supporting Australian recruitment agencies.
