Senior Stylist & Salon Coordinator

Love doing hair, but ready for a role with a little more variety? Elysium Hair Brisbane is looking for an experienced hairdresser who would love to combine time behind the chair with helping coordinate the day-to-day experience of our award-winning Brisbane City salon.

This isn't a traditional salon manager role.

We're looking for someone who still enjoys looking after guests and creating beautiful hair, but also likes being involved in the bigger picture — supporting the team, helping the salon run smoothly, looking after the guest experience and occasionally stepping onto reception.

It could particularly suit an experienced stylist who wants to reduce the amount of time they spend behind the chair without stepping away from hair completely.

What the role could look like

The role can be personalised around the right person and could include a combination of:

- Looking after your own guests and maintaining a styling column
- Supporting the smooth running of the salon day
- Helping coordinate the team and appointment flow
- Welcoming guests and supporting reception when needed
- Helping resolve day-to-day guest or booking issues
- Supporting salon standards, systems and routines
- Mentoring or supporting other members of the team
- Contributing ideas about how we can make the salon experience even better
- Working closely with the salon owners and leadership team

- A fully qualified hairdresser with solid salon experience

- Comfortable with bookings, systems and everyday salon administration




- Collaborative rather than hierarchical in the way you work with a team
- Interested in being part of the wider running of a salon, not just your own column

You don't need to have previously held the title of Salon Manager or Coordinator. You might be a senior stylist who has naturally become the person others turn to, a former salon manager who doesn't want the pressure of managing an entire business anymore, or an experienced hairdresser looking for a role that gives you more variety.
