We're working with a growing planning consultancy based in Ballarat who are looking to add an experienced Senior Town Planner to their team.

This is an opportunity for a planner who is confident in their technical abilities, enjoys taking ownership of projects and has the communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.

You'll be working across a varied portfolio of planning matters, providing practical and commercially focused advice while managing projects from application through to outcome.

The Prospect

As a Senior Planner, you'll play an important role within the team, taking responsibility for your own projects and working closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing a diverse range of planning applications and projects.
- Providing high-quality technical planning advice.
- Preparing and reviewing planning reports, applications and supporting documentation.
- Liaising with Councils, clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
- Managing projects through the planning and approval process.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Identifying planning opportunities and providing practical solutions to complex matters.
- Supporting and contributing to the wider team and business as required.

About You We're looking for someone who brings a strong combination of technical planning capability, commercial awareness and relationship management skills.

You'll ideally have

- Significant experience working within the Victorian planning system.




- Strong technical knowledge and an ability to confidently assess and manage planning matters.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to confidently liaise with clients, Councils and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A genuine interest in building and maintaining client relationships.
