The role... Work closely with the People and Culture Manager to develop and maintain Work, Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives, strategies, policies and practices across West Beach Parks that protect the wellbeing of the community,
guests and staff through identification and management of risks.
The Senior WHS and Injury Management Advisor also fulfills the role of Return to Work Coordinator and works directly with injured employees and key stakeholders to ensure safe returns to the workplace.
Key responsibilities
Using your proactive, people-centred approach, you will:
- Provide WHS and injury management advice and support to employees, leaders and stakeholders.
- Help maintain a safe environment for our team, guests, contractors and community.
- Ensure WHS and injury management systems remain compliant with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and risk management activities.
- Review and improve WHS policies, procedures, forms and work instructions.
- Coordinate WHS Committee and Safety Representative meetings and drive action outcomes.
- Deliver and promote our annual Health and Wellbeing Program.
- Manage workplace and non-workplace injury processes, supporting positive return-to-work outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture where safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
