Pickering Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our automotive service department.

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating workshop operations, supporting technicians, maintaining high customer service standards and ensuring vehicles are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Coordinate workshop bookings, workflow and vehicle scheduling
- Lead and support technicians and workshop staff
- Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed on time
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle servicing and repairs
- Provide updates on job progress, costs and required work
- Coordinate with parts, sales and other dealership departments
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving service-related issues
- Ensure workplace health, safety and compliance procedures are followed
- Monitor workshop productivity and performance




- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Help improve workshop processes and efficiency

About You
- Previous experience in an Automotive Service Manager or similar management role
- Strong automotive industry knowledge
- Experience managing or coordinating a workshop team
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Professional, reliable and motivated
- Able to lead a team while also working hands-on when required
- Qualified automotive technician background is highly regarded
- Current Australian driver's licence
