About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Service Technician who enjoys solving problems, working on heavy equipment and keeping machinery operating at its best. Working across the workshop and the field, you'll inspect, service and repair a diverse range of specialist equipment used on major construction, civil and infrastructure projects. With plenty of variety and technical challenges, no two days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inspecting, servicing and repairing a broad range of specialist hire equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, mechanical and diesel-powered systems.
- Servicing lifting chains, confined space equipment, hydraulic shoring, propping systems and excavator attachments.
- Conducting fault finding and preventative maintenance activities.
- Testing equipment to ensure it meets safety and operational standards.
- Completing service records and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Managing workshop consumables and spare parts stock.
- Maintaining a protected, clean and organised workshop environment.
- Supporting field service activities and customer requirements as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems,
working with their hands, and being part of a team that values quality workmanship. You'll ideally bring:
- Experience servicing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, diesel or industrial equipment.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical, Diesel Fitting, Auto-Electrical, Hydraulics or related discipline.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable work ethic and pride in delivering quality work.
- Physical fitness to perform workshop and field service activities.
