Scope Healthcare is a growing multidisciplinary healthcare organisation providing sleep, respiratory and cardiac diagnostic services across Australia.

Through our SleepScope division, we are expanding our Queensland operations across Brisbane South, Logan, the Brisbane–Gold Coast corridor and the Scenic Rim. We are seeking a motivated Sleep & Respiratory Technician – Mobile Clinics to deliver diagnostic services at GP practices, specialist clinics, medical centres and selected hospital locations.

About the role

This is a mobile clinical position involving travel between established and developing Scope Healthcare locations. A fully maintained company vehicle is provided for all travel between sites.

Your primary responsibility will be to prepare patients for unattended Level II home sleep studies, ensure the equipment is correctly applied and provide clear instructions so patients can successfully complete their study at home.

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may also perform lung-function testing, including spirometry, bronchodilator testing, DLCO and FeNO assessments.

The role would suit an experienced sleep or respiratory technician, respiratory scientist, clinical measurement scientist, biomedical science graduate, nurse or another healthcare professional interested in developing a career in sleep and respiratory diagnostics. Comprehensive training in our equipment, systems and clinical procedures will be provided where required.

Key responsibilities

- Travel between Scope Healthcare clinics, GP practices, medical centres and selected hospital locations
- Prepare and fit patients with Level II home sleep-study equipment and explain overnight study requirements
- Check signal quality, sensor placement and equipment operation before patients leave
- Collect, download, clean and prepare equipment for reuse; troubleshoot equipment or signal-quality problems




- Upload sleep-study data for analysis and physician reporting; complete questionnaires and clinical documentation
- Perform or assist with lung-function testing, depending on qualifications and competency
- Conduct equipment calibration and quality-control procedures
- Maintain accurate patient, equipment and consumables records; manage mobile equipment stock
- Follow infection-control, privacy, safety and clinical-governance requirements
- Communicate with patients, medical practices, respiratory physicians and the Scope Healthcare administration team
- Assist with establishing new visiting services and satellite clinics

About you

You will be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently across multiple locations, with excellent patient communication skills and the ability to explain medical equipment to patients from a wide range of backgrounds.

You will ideally have

- Previous experience with home sleep studies, polysomnography, CPAP services or respiratory testing
- A tertiary qualification in sleep science, respiratory science, biomedical science, health science, nursing, exercise physiology or another relevant discipline
- Experience fitting sleep-study equipment and checking signal quality
- Experience with spirometry, DLCO, FeNO or other lung-function testing (highly regarded)
- Strong clinical documentation and computer skills
- Good attention to detail and equipment-management skills
- The ability to organise appointments and travel efficiently between locations
- The confidence to work independently while remaining part of a broader clinical team

Essential requirements

- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Brisbane South, Logan and the Scenic Rim
- Appropriate Australian working rights
- Willingness to undertake a National Police Check
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
- Ability to satisfy applicable vaccination, credentialing and compliance requirements for medical centres and hospitals
- Availability for late-afternoon patient appointments (typically finishing by 6:00pm)

This position does not ordinarily require overnight attendance.

- $72,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience (pro rata for part time)
- Fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card and work-related tolls for all travel between clinic locations

- Primarily daytime work with some late-afternoon appointments – no routine overnight sleep-laboratory shifts
