About the role

As a casual Skip/Hook Truck Driver at Norhire, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bins to residential and commercial locations in the Cairns region. This is a flexible, casual role that offers the opportunity to work as needed to support the business.

What you'll be doing

- Safely operating a skip/hook truck to transport and deliver skip bins to customer sites
- Providing exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally responding to customer inquiries and requests
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in secure operating condition
- Adhering to all relevant road rules, safety regulations and company policies
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups and any incidents
- Assisting with general yard, recycling and maintenance duties as needed

What we're looking for

- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
- At least 2 years' experience operating a skip truck and/or hook truck or similar heavy vehicle
- Experience operating sorting grab on excavator highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently




- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Flexibility to work a casual schedule during the week. There is no weekend or public holiday work except in emergencies.
