? About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker Level 3, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred assessment, treatment and care coordination to adults experiencing a diverse range of mental health challenges.
Bring your advanced social work expertise to a role where recovery, wellbeing and meaningful outcomes are at the heart of care. You’ll work alongside consumers to understand their individual circumstances, support their recovery journey and empower them to achieve their goals.
As a valued member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist psychosocial expertise to inform holistic mental health care. Your role will include identifying and addressing psychosocial stressors, strengthening family and cultural inclusion in care planning, and providing specialist Social Work input across areas including family and domestic violence and child protection.
You’ll be well supported by the Community Manager, Clinical Coordinator and Head of Discipline, with access to a broader Hunter New England Local Health District Mental Health Service network. This provides valuable opportunities to connect with experienced professionals, access specialist education and strengthen your ongoing clinical development.

Essential Requirements:
- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
