Solotude is an Australian marketplace connecting people with disabilities with independent NDIS providers. The platform is live and we are looking for a software engineering intern to join us.
This is a rare chance. You won’t be joining a team of hundreds where your work disappears into a process. You’ll be working directly with the founder and CTO on a real product in production, and what you ship goes live.
There is plenty to do across the platform, which means your work will have a direct impact on what people use every day.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and shipping features end to end, backend and frontend
- Reading and understanding existing code before changing it, and improving what you find along the way
- Owning your work from problem to production
- Working directly with the founder and CTO
What we’re looking for
- Proactive and autonomous. You are comfortable taking a piece of work, figuring it out and seeing it through
- A problem solver at heart. You enjoy understanding how things work and making them better
- Comfortable across the stack,
backend and frontend, and able to take a change from one end to the other
- Curious and keen to learn
- Students and early-career engineers both welcome
The details
- Internship (unpaid), 3 months, minimum 20 hours per week
- Hybrid in Sydney or fully remote within Australia
- Real ownership, real mentoring, and work you can point to when you talk about shipping a product
If you’re early in your career and don’t tick every box, reach out anyway. We’d love to hear from you.
How to apply
Email us your CV and your availability, plus a separate short document answering one of the two questions below. A paragraph is enough.
