About the role

We are a busy Switchboard manufacturing company. We are currently seeking a Sheetmetal/ SolidWorks operator to run a CNC turret punch. In this role, you will interpret engineering drawings and utilize SolidWorks to design, program, and prepare sheet metal components for manufacturing. You will bridge the gap between design and the factory floor, ensuring high-quality, precise outputs.

Key responsibilities

- Design & Modeling: Create accurate 3D models and 2D flat patterns using SolidWorks Sheet Metal tools.

- Drafting: Produce detailed engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOM).

- Nest Programming: Prepare DXF/DWG files for laser cutting, punching, and CNC brake press operations.

- Material Optimization: Calculate accurate bend allowances, K-factors, and material yields to minimize waste.

- Collaboration: Work closely with workshop fabricators and estimators to resolve manufacturing issues and improve production efficiency.
