SOUS CHEF – COOLY BREEZE ROOFTOP

Cooly Breeze Rooftop is a Mediterranean fine dining restaurant and bar located on Level 13 of Beachcomber International Resort in Coolangatta, with stunning ocean views.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our team and work closely with our Executive Chef.

This is a hands-on role focused on pans, grill, section management, stock control and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Work on pans and grill during service
- Manage your section and assist with the kitchen team
- Stock control and preparation
- Assist with menu planning and daily kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation




- Ensure cleanliness, food safety and kitchen compliance

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong pans and grill skills
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Organised, reliable and professional
- Passion for cooking and the hospitality industry
- Versatile availability, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Trading Hours

Lunch: Friday–Sunday Dinner: Thursday–Monday

Closed: Tuesday & Wednesday

Salary: Based on experience.
