Position Summary
The Executive General Manager, Technology Solutions and Growth is a senior leadership appointment responsible for the strategic direction, commercial performance, and operational excellence of COSOL's technology capability. Reporting to the COO, this role combines strategic leadership with hands on commercial accountability, building scalable technology solutions, driving revenue growth, and developing a high performing organisation that delivers measurable outcomes for clients across asset intensive industries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the technology strategy for COSOL's solutions portfolio, aligned to corporate strategy and the CEO's vision
Identify emerging technology trends, including AI, machine learning, digital twins, and predictive analytics, and translate them into viable, market ready solutions
Develop and maintain a multi year technology and product roadmap positioning COSOL as the leading EAM technology partner across mining, transport, infrastructure, government and defence, energy and water, and agriculture
Contribute as a member of the senior leadership team to enterprise wide strategy, investment decisions, and organisational direction
Revenue Generation and Commercial Growth
Own and drive revenue targets across the technology solutions division, including software, managed services, consulting, and AI and data products
Grow the annual recurring revenue base of the solutions and platforms offering
Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities in collaboration with pre sales, solution architects, and account management teams
Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, and go to market approaches in partnership with commercial and finance teams
Represent COSOL at industry forums, conferences, and senior client engagements to strengthen brand presence and business relationships
Team Leadership and Management
Provide direct leadership and executive sponsorship to four operational teams: On Plan Solutions, Data BI and AI, Cloud and Operations, and New Business Solutions
Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability frameworks across all teams
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and client centricity
Attract, develop, and retain top technical and commercial talent, building succession pipelines for key roles
Champion diversity, psychological safety, and professional growth across the division
Client and Solution Delivery
Ensure consistent, high quality delivery outcomes across all technology engagements
Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
Oversee development of new business solutions addressing predictive maintenance, asset lifecycle management, operational analytics, and AI driven decision support
Drive integration of AI and data capabilities into COSOL's core product and service offerings
Operational Excellence
Maintain robust delivery governance, project management standards, and risk management practices in line with group policies
Oversee operational performance of cloud hosted solutions, ensuring reliability, security, compliance, and scalability
Manage divisional P&L;, budgets, and resource allocation in collaboration with finance
Drive efficiencies through process improvement, automation, and effective use of internal tooling
Key Performance Indicators
Revenue targets achieved across the technology solutions division
New business pipeline growth and conversion against defined milestones
Client satisfaction and retention across key strategic accounts
Delivery quality and outcomes across all technology engagements
Team performance, utilisation, and development outcomes across all four operational teams
Technology roadmap progressed against agreed milestones
Divisional P&L; managed within budget
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications advantageous.
Experience
10+ years of senior leadership experience in technology solutions, enterprise software, or managed services
Demonstrated success in P&L; ownership and revenue generation, with a track record of growing a technology business or division
Strong understanding of ERP or business operations systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo, or similar) and their application in asset intensive or operationally complex industries
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams across software delivery, data and analytics, and cloud infrastructure
Strong commercial acumen with experience developing go to market strategies, solution packaging, and complex commercial negotiations
Hands on knowledge of data, BI, and AI technologies and their application in asset management environments
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern managed services models
Demonstrated ability to develop and convert new business opportunities in asset intensive industries
Executive presence, credible and compelling with C suite clients and internal stakeholders
Strategic thinking, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear, actionable strategy
Commercial drive, energised by growth, opportunity, and building lasting client value
