As Principal Departmental Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in connecting the department, executive leaders and the Minister's office. You will help ensure critical information flows efficiently, advice is accurate and timely, and responses to emerging issues are coordinated and delivered to a high standard.This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. One day, you may be coordinating advice on complex portfolio matters. The next, you could be supporting responses to public enquiries, managing ministerial correspondence, preparing briefings for regional visits, or working with senior leaders to address emerging issues.
The work you do supports the department's broader purpose of improving outcomes for Queenslanders through housing assistance, homelessness services, youth initiatives, public works, procurement and industry reform. By helping leaders and decision-makers access the right information at the right time, you will contribute to services and programs that positively impact communities across the state.
Success in this role requires sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.



You will build productive relationships across the department and with key partners, helping bring people together to deliver explicit, coordinated and timely outcomes.

While there are no mandatory qualifications, experience with executive correspondence, ministerial processes or working within a complex organisational environment will be highly regarded.
