About the role
Join the Acute Care Team within Metro North Mental Health and make a meaningful difference to the lives of people experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment, delivering recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care to consumers, their families and carers across a range of acute mental health presentations.
Working as a Social Worker, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist, you will provide assessment, care planning and evidence-based interventions while collaborating closely with consumers, carers, hospital services and community partners. The role offers variety, professional growth and the opportunity to contribute to contemporary mental health practice, quality improvement initiatives and positive recovery outcomes for consumers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * Deliver evidence-based mental health services, including assessment, formulation, care planning and therapeutic interventions for consumers experiencing severe and complex mental health conditions. * Apply contemporary recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approaches while supporting consumers, families and carers to achieve meaningful treatment and recovery goals. * Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders to facilitate coordinated, integrated and person-centred care.
* Exercise sound clinical judgement, problem-solving and risk management skills when managing complex caseloads and responding to changing consumer needs. * Contribute to clinical supervision, student education, quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development to support excellence in mental health service delivery.
