The Opportunity

HorizonOne Recruitment is continuing to build its capability across the Cyber Security sector and has a consistent flow of opportunities across Federal Government, Defence and the National Security community.

We are particularly interested in connecting with PV-cleared Cyber Security professionals who are currently considering their next move or would like to be kept informed of upcoming opportunities across the Canberra market.

These opportunities range from long-term contracts through to permanent and non-ongoing positions, covering both highly technical cyber security roles and governance, risk and assurance functions.

The Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from PV-cleared Cyber Security professionals across a broad range of cyber specialisations:

- Security Engineering: Designing, implementing and maintaining secure systems, infrastructure and technical security controls
- Security Operations (SecOps): SOC operations, threat detection, threat hunting, incident response, SIEM/EDR and cyber defence
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Cyber governance, risk assessments, security assurance, assessment and accreditation, ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight
- Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM): Managing identities, user access, privileged accounts,



authentication and access controls

We recruit across all levels of experience, with a particular focus on mid-level to senior Cyber Security professionals.

The Ideal Person

You will bring robust technical or specialist cyber capability, alongside the ability to communicate effectively, solve complex problems and work collaboratively with technical teams, stakeholders and senior leaders.

Our opportunities are predominantly Canberra-based, with many supporting Defence, National Security and Federal Government environments.

Australian Citizenship and an active security clearance are highly regarded, and we are particularly interested in connecting with professionals who currently hold an active Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.

Salary / Rate

- Permanent: $110k – $210k + Super
- Contract: $120/hr – $170/hr
- Rates and salaries will vary depending on the specific role, level of experience and technical specialisation.
