Storeman - Building Hardware Industry

Location: Dandenong South

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are a well-established business in the building hardware industry and are seeking a reliable and hardworking Storeman to join our team.

This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock

Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders

Obtaining and comparing freight quotes from various carriers

Loading and unloading delivery vehicles

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse

Managing inventory and stock control processes

Using computer systems for stock management and order processing

Liaising professionally with suppliers regarding deliveries and stock enquiries

Assisting customers with product collection and enquiries

Following workplace health and safety procedures

Essential Requirements

Current Forklift Licence

Previous warehouse/storeman experience,



preferably within the building materials or hardware industry

Good computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, and team members

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Reliable work ethic and positive attitude

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Experience in the building hardware, construction, or timber industry

Knowledge of warehouse inventory systems

Current driver's license
