PBE Rutherford is a leading provider of electrical, communications, and cable service solutions to the mining, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Storeperson to join our Cable Services Division.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused individual who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory systems while supporting workshop operations and customer requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of stores and inventory activities, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of parts and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Issue parts and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Receive, process, and dispatch goods through the stores and inventory management system.
- Prepare and dispatch orders in accordance with packing slips and purchase orders.
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of inventory records.
- Participate in scheduled cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Process stock transfers and shipping requirements accurately and on time.
- Raise and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
- Correctly package and prepare goods for transport.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including purchase orders, delivery dockets, and related records.
- Respond to customer enquiries and communicate requirements with workshop personnel.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing and inventory control procedures.
- Inspect incoming goods and report any defects, damage, or discrepancies.
- Assist with administrative duties as required.




- Support customers with basic technical enquiries where possible.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Ensure tools and equipment are returned to designated storage locations after use.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role, preferably within the mining, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical services industry.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence (essential).
- A current Forklift Licence (essential).
