Lead the kitchen at one of Perth's iconic riverside venues!

Located on the banks of the Swan River in Applecross, Raffles Hotel is a Perth icon with a reputation for great food, lively service and an unbeatable waterfront setting.

We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen leadership team and help drive the day-to-day operation of this busy venue. Raffles delivers a diverse food offering, combining modern pub classics with Italian influence, premium cuts from the charcoal oven, house-made pizzas and a robust functions and events operation.

Opportunity

Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in leading the kitchen team and ensuring every service runs smoothly.

n

You'll be responsible for:

n

n
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day kitchen operation
n
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team during busy services
n
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
n
- Ensuring kitchen procedures, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
n
- Assisting with ordering, stock control and minimising food wastage
n
- Supporting menu execution across pub dining, functions and events
n
- Training and developing junior chefs and kitchen team members
n
- Helping create a positive, organised and high-performing kitchen culture
n

About You

n





We're looking for a confident and hands-on Sous Chef who thrives in a busy pub environment and enjoys leading a team.

n

Ideally you'll have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced CDP ready to step up
n
- Strong commercial kitchen experience
n
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
n
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
n
- A strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
n
- A genuine passion for quality food and hospitality
n
- The ability to work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider venue team
n
