Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. As one of Australia's largest gold producers, Boddington is recognised for its leadership in innovation and technology, including becoming the world's first gold mine to implement an Autonomous Haulage System.

Your Contribution
As a Superintendent, Training, you'll lead the planning and delivery of site training that supports workforce capability and meets operational, industry and statutory requirements. You'll guide the training function, partner with stakeholders and strengthen the quality, consistency and effectiveness of learning across the operation.
Profile description
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Lead, coach and develop the training team, building capability and supporting safe, effective performance.
- Develop and deliver training plans, programs and learning resources that address operational priorities,
workforce capability requirements and identified training needs.
- Use training, compliance and performance data to identify trends, recommend actions and maintain accurate, validated training records.
- Partner with stakeholders and external providers to resolve training needs, improve learning outcomes and deliver effective business solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement and undertake annual strategic planning to support desired training and organisational capability outcomes.
Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- Tertiary or recognised qualifications in learning and development or training.
- Considerable experience in large scale site-based training or a similar role, supported by demonstrated industry knowledge.
- Understanding of learning analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, including contemporary learning and development approaches.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-management skills, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver outcomes.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and collaborative problem-solving skills, together with the confidence to manage conflict professionally and apply relevant learning principles and legislation.

- Based at Newmont's Boddington operation on a 5:2,4:3 roster. Flexibility considered for the suitable candidate.
- Work within an Operations and Mine Technical Services environment focused on maintaining and optimising existing mining systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Mine Technical Services, Mine Operations, Sustaining Capital Projects, Mill Operations, Finance, Long-Term Planning, corporate teams, business partners and contractors.
- Lead, coach and mentor engineers while contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
