About the role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Supervisor to join our Power Division and oversee the safe and efficient delivery of utility and power infrastructure projects. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for leading field crews, coordinating daily site activities, and ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a critical role in maintaining productivity, fostering a positive safety culture, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader looking to contribute to the delivery of essential power infrastructure projects that support communities and industry. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience delivering works within the Western Power network, with a solid understanding of utility construction requirements, stakeholder expectations, and the importance of maintaining safety, quality, and compliance across all site activities.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate field teams across power and utility infrastructure projects.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and manage daily site activities, labour, plant, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor project progress and productivity to ensure works are delivered on time and within scope.
- Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections.
- Identify and manage site risks, hazards, and quality issues.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Project Engineers, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Review work packs, drawings, permits, and technical documentation prior to commencement of works.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports,



and documentation.
- Mentor and support crew members, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About you

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the utilities, power, electrical infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of power distribution networks, substations, overhead and underground electrical systems, and utility infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience working on Western Power projects or within Western Power's operational network and standards environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Western Power procedures, permit systems, construction standards, and safety requirements will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Current driver's licence.
