The Company
Growth Bomb is an Australian owned scalp & hair care brand with over 25 products, stocked in Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Woolworths, Coles and 1500+ independent pharmacies across Australia and New Zealand, plus the US, UK, Europe, the UAE and Africa. Small team, global operation.
The Role - Supply Chain Coordinator (5-Month Parental Leave Cover, 12-months contract)
We're looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to cover parental leave for our Supply Chain & Operations Manager (mid-Jan-June).
This is not a hold-the-fort job. You'll own our end-to-end supply chain across three entities - Australia, the US and the UK. Four warehouses, a global supplier base, freight forwarders and retail partners across five-plus markets, all coordinated from one desk in South Yarra.
It's broad by design. At our size you see the whole chain, from forecasting a purchase order to chasing the pallet into a DC. Your decisions show up in the numbers within weeks. You won't be thrown in.
You'll get months of structured handover and training before you run it solo, and support on the other side when the Manager returns. If you perform, there's a real path to a permanent role.
What you'll do
- Demand Planning: Forecast purchase requirements using historical sales and forward projections, and raise purchase requisitions.
- Global Logistics: Manage day-to-day orders with suppliers and freight forwarders, ensuring deliveries and dispatches stay on schedule across all time zones.
- Inventory Control: Track stock across four global warehouses, keeping product data clean and flagging potential stock-outs before they happen.
- Commercial Operations:
Support negotiations on production, freight, and warehousing terms.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance on funding, supply, and recent product launches.
- Financial Support: Assist with the finance side of the supply chain, including accruals, landed costs, and reporting.
What you'll bring
- Experience: 2-4 years in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations.
- Analytical chops: Strong with data, spreadsheets, and reporting - you can build the answer, not just read it.
- Commercial confidence: Comfortable holding a supplier to account on price, terms, or a missed date.
- Communication: Clear, cross-cultural communication skills to coordinate across global time zones daily.
- Composure: Highly organised under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.
- Requirements: Based in Melbourne with full working rights in Australia.
Nice to have (but not dealbreakers)
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Logistics (equivalent practical experience counts).
- Exposure to ERP or inventory systems like DEAR, Cin7, or SAP.
- Experience managing supply chains across multiple international markets.
How you’ll work here
- You solve problems rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- The small details don't slip past you.
- You ask why a number looks wrong before it becomes a crisis.
