Scrub Up Cleaning | Subcontractor Roles

We’re looking for Lead Cleaners and Support Cleaners to join our team, looking after holiday homes throughout the Byron Shire.

We’re after people who take pride in their work, have a good eye for detail and most importantly are reliable. Our cleans are scheduled around guest arrivals, so if you’re rostered on, we need to know we can count on you.

Lead Cleaners For experienced cleaners who are confident working independently or alongside a team and providing guidance, keeping the clean on track and making sure the teams work is of a high standard before leaving the property.

You'll need to have cleaning experience, confidence leading the clean and strong attention to detail to spot anything that needs extra attention.

$40PH Weekdays | $43PH Weekends

Support Cleaners

Our Support Cleaners work alongside a Lead Cleaner to help clean, reset and prepare properties for incoming guests. You’ll have clear guidance on what needs to be done while getting to know our properties and the standards we work to.

Some cleaning experience is preferred, but reliability, attention to detail and a good work ethic are just as important.

$35 PH Weekdays | $38PH Weekends

What does a typical day look like?

You’ll generally work across 3–4 holiday properties around the Byron Shire, either independently or as part of a small team.

A typical clean includes changing linen and making beds,



cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping and resetting the home so it’s fresh, clean and ready for the next guests.

Most of our work happens during the day between guest check-out and check-in), so working efficiently as a team is key.

What we're looking for

- Previous cleaning experience, particularly for Lead Cleaner roles
- A great eye for detail and pride in your work
- Reliable people who turn up when they say they will
- Good communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ABN Required
- Your own reliable transport
- Weekday availability, with weekend availability highly valued

You’ll need your own transport to travel between properties. A starter cleaning kit can be provided if you don’t already have your own equipment. We’re building a reliable team across the Byron Shire and have regular, ongoing work available. We’d particularly love to hear from anyone planning on staying in the area for longer-term Lead Cleaner roles, and also welcome travellers and anyone in the area for a shorter stay who has great cleaning experience and is ready to get stuck in.
