About the role
This is a hands-on support role where no two days are the same. You will be supporting clients with their daily routines, activities and personal development while helping maintain a safe and positive environment. Active overnights are a key part of these positions. Unlike a sleepover, you are awake and actively working throughout the entire night and are paid for the entire overnight shift.
Key responsibilities
- Support clients with their daily routines, activities and personal development
- Help maintain a safe and positive workplace
- Support clients who display physical aggression, self-harming behaviours, behaviours of concern, and high-level autism and complex support needs
- Respond calmly and confidently to difficult or unpredictable situations
- Follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures
- Work active overnight shifts remaining alert and engaged for the duration of the shift
- Work independently as well as part of a team
About you
- Physically capable and confident supporting clients with complex behaviours
- Calm and patient under pressure
- Reliable and punctual
- Emotionally resilient
- Comfortable working in a rural/farm environment
- Able to follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures
- Compassionate and respectful
- Willing to learn and undertake training
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Available for a combination of day and active overnight shifts
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Blue Card
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
