About the role

We are looking for a keen, ambitious, hands-on Accountant who thrives in a small practice environment. This role would ideally suit a recently or near qualified CA/CPA with 5+ years experience. This role offers an opportunity to work with a portfolio of diverse clients and will provide direct mentorship from professional team including our 2 partners. You will step into a welcoming desk with clear processes, and in a traditional but robust public practice tech stack.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Superannuation Funds and Individuals/Sole Traders
- Complete end-to-end accounting, tax and compliance actions for self-managed super fund clients
- Utilise MYOB AE / AELedger for core practice management, ledger entries, work with client Xero and MYOB files, alongside BGL Simple Fund 360 and BGL Simple Invest 360 for efficient SMSF and non SMSF investment accounting management
- Be a valued team member and trusted point of contact for clients

About you

- 5+ years of solid public practice experience within an Australian accounting firm
- Australian Degree Qualified with CA/CPA qualified,



or heading towards completion
- Demonstrated, practical competency using MYOB AE and BGL (Simple Fund / SimpleInvest 360), client MYOB AND Xero
- Exceptional clear, polite and confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients and manage relationships independently
