Position Information
Dapto High School consists of 1021 students (inclusive of 49 Special Education students) and 102 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. It is renowned for its comprehensive and inclusive approach to education, located in a picturesque setting alongside Mullet Creek and the main South Coast rail line. The school spans a vast 15-hectare area, which includes our expansive farm and sports fields. Our dedicated staff, students, and parents work together to enhance learning outcomes, with a strong focus on digital learning, particularly through our data driven Teacher Professional Learning programs. At Dapto High, we prioritise student wellbeing, offering a program that supports students in realising their full potential as both learners and responsible citizens.
The school's English faculty is committed to fostering literacy and a love of literature across all stages, and works closely with the wellbeing team to support engaged, confident learners. We implement practices that promote both academic and personal growth,

Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach English (7-10) and English (11-12).
- Demonstrated experience in developing teaching practices with a focus on explicit teaching and formative assessment, resulting in an upward shift in student writing outcomes.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity to contribute collaboratively to quality faculty, and whole-school initiatives, to address the needs of a range of diverse learners.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
