About the role

This is a hands-on role assisting qualified boilermakers, welders, and fabricators with general workshop and shipyard tasks. You will support steel preparation, material handling, clean-up, fitting assistance, and protected day-to-day production activities.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting boilermakers, welders, fabricators,



and mechanical trades with daily tasks
- Supporting preparation, grinding, drilling, clean-up, and basic fabrication activities
- Handling materials, tools, and equipment safely in a workshop or shipyard environment
- Following instructions from trades, leading hands, and supervisors
- Working safely and contributing to a productive team workplace

About you

You may not be trade qualified, but you will have practical hands-on experience and the right attitude. To be successful, you will bring:

- A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, drills, or basic fabrication equipment
- Previous experience supporting boilermakers, welders, fabricators, or similar trades
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
- A team-first attitude with a focus on working safely
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and build skills in the marine fabrication industry
