The Opportunity

PHE Power and Infrastructure are currently seeking a qualified Electrician or Instrumentation Technician to join our team based at Visy's Pulp and Paper Mill in Tumut. This is a permanent role, predominantly working Monday-Friday, 9‑hour days, with on‑call required on a roughly 7‑week roster. Overtime is available. You will receive a competitive salary package and opportunities to upskill, including additional training in instrumentation if you do not already possess the qualification. The role is located at Visy's pulp and paper mill in Tumut, a town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, approximately 410km southwest of Sydney and 200km from Canberra.

Daily activities include HV, HA, automation, minor projects, and maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant.

About You

- Able to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner.
- Work well in group problem‑solving situations.




- Industrial electrical experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Live in or be willing to relocate to the Tumut region.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

- Trade certification / AQF Cert Level 3 Electro Tech.
- NSW Electrical license.
- High‑risk work license with WP Class.
- Working at heights.
- Current CPR/LVR.
- Current unrestricted C class driver’s license.
- White construction card.
- Certificate III in instrumentation (preferable but training will be provided for the right candidate).
- Confined space (preferable).
