Riverina Local Land Services (LLS) are seeking a Team Leader Land Services to lead a multidisciplinary team of seven staff delivering the Climate Smart National Heritage Trust (NHT) Project and agricultural extension services across the Riverina region. This role plays a critical part in helping landholders adopt innovative and sustainable farming practices while contributing to the delivery of Local Land Services' Agriculture Program Plan and Local Strategic Delivery Plan. The role aligns with the purpose of leading teams to coordinate and implement agricultural productivity and natural resource management programs that deliver strategic outcomes for regional communities. About The Role
As Team Leader, you will provide leadership, direction and operational oversight to a team delivering high-quality agricultural extension services and climate-smart agriculture initiatives. You will work closely with landholders, industry groups, research organisations and government partners to support the adoption of practices that improve productivity, resilience and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of professional staff to achieve program outcomes.
- Driving the successful delivery of the Climate Smart NHT Project across the Riverina region.
- Building strong relationships with landholders, industry, community groups and partner organisations.
- Managing project planning, budgets, contracts, reporting and resource allocation.
- Identifying opportunities to access funding, improve program effectiveness and maximise outcomes for customers and stakeholders.
- Ensuring services and projects align with strategic, legislative and funding requirements.
- Supporting collaboration across Local Land Services and partner agencies to deliver integrated services.
- Contributing to biosecurity activities, emergency management preparedness and response when required.
About You You are a team-oriented and influential leader who can inspire teams, build trusted stakeholder relationships and deliver results in a complex operating environment.
You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience delivering complex agricultural, natural resource management or extension programs.
- Strong project management, planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, resources and budgets while maintaining a focus on outcomes.
- Sound understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing agricultural industries and regional communities.
- A degree in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel across the region.
