About the roleAs Team Leader, you will support the Aquatic Operations Coordinator in the safe, efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the City’s outdoor aquatic facilities. You will provide leadership and supervision to onsite staff, contribute to staff development and rostering, oversee pool and facility presentation, and assist with pool plant operations and water quality management. This is a hands-on role where you will regularly perform both Shift Supervisor and Lifeguard duties while ensuring a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Work type: x4 Fixed Term Part Time Opportunities (1 Nov 2026 to 31/3/2027)Classification: Band 4 $38.46 p/h plus super

Key responsibilities include

- Lead, supervise and support staff to deliver secure, professional and customer-focused aquatic services.
- Assist with the daily operation of outdoor aquatic facilities, including pool plant, equipment, water quality and facility presentation.
- Undertake regular Shift Supervisor and Lifeguard duties, responding effectively to operational and customer needs.
- Support staff rostering, training, feedback and development to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant aquatic safety, health, OHS and operational procedures.
- Assist the Aquatic Operations Coordinator with continuous improvement, operational planning and the delivery of high-quality aquatic services.

About you To be successful in this role, you are an experienced aquatic professional who thrives in a hands-on leadership role and is passionate about creating safe, welcoming and high-quality experiences for the community. With strong knowledge of aquatic operations, pool plant and water quality management,



you are confident leading and supporting teams in a busy environment. You bring a strong customer focus, effective communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions while working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Experience

- Provide First Aid Certificate
- Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Working with Children Check
